The Influence of Supervision and Work Discipline on the Performance of Teachers at SMP IT Manarul Hikam

Performance is the result of employee work seen from the aspects of quality, quantity, work time and cooperation to achieve the goals set by the organization. This study aims to analyze the effect of supervision and work discipline on teacher performance at SMP IT Manarul Hikam. A quantitative approach with a correlational design was employed, involving all teachers as research samples. The results indicate that supervision is rated very good, work discipline is rated very good, and teacher performance is rated good. Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that simultaneously, supervision and work discipline have a significant effect on teacher performance, meaning that improving supervision quality and teacher discipline significantly enhances performance. Partially, supervision also has a significant effect on teacher performance, indicating that effective supervision by school principals can improve teachers’ performance. Similarly, work discipline partially has a significant effect on teacher performance, showing that adherence to rules and task execution positively impacts performance. This study provides important implications for school management, particularly in enhancing supervision quality and fostering a strong culture of discipline to improve overall teacher performance.
